Earned Value Management Fundamentals Is your project ready to support EVM?

In the 15 plus years that I have been practicing Project Controls in the UK I have found that only a few projects are fit to support EVM. This presentation will try to explore in a practical way how to ensure that the building blocks that support EVM are imbedded within your project and your organization. We will also explore the following issues most projects underestimate for proper EVM;

• Schedule baseline issues that weaken EVM
• Progress measurement techniques that works for EVM
• Business systems input into EVM
• Comprehensive change needed to keep EVM in sync

The focus will be on providing a practical roadmap on how to address all these challenges that prevent the implementation of best practice. It will also present real life examples of how EV metrics should be presented and what project managers/ directors should be aiming to obtain.
